1. Introduction

ReMemo is a wellness reminder application that helps you build healthier habits by reminding you to drink water, stretch, rest your eyes, and take regular breaks. This Privacy Policy explains what ReMemo stores, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using ReMemo you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.

2. Summary

3. What ReMemo Stores

ReMemo stores the following on your device only:

The last item deserves a plain explanation: ReMemo keeps a running total of your work time and a count of the days you have used it. This drives the work-time display on the home screen and decides when the optional donation message is shown once. It is a duration and a day count — not a history of what you did, and not tied to any identity.

This information never leaves your device.

If you email the developer, your email address and whatever you choose to write are used only to reply to you.

4. What ReMemo Does Not Collect

ReMemo does not collect, store, transmit or access:

5. How Information Is Used

The information stored on your device is used only to deliver reminders at the right time, run and restore your timers, award and spend Stars, remember your preferences, and decide when to show the optional donation message once. It is not used for profiling, advertising or any form of tracking.

6. Permissions

Notifications

Required. ReMemo delivers every reminder as a notification, so reminders will not start until this is granted. You can withdraw it at any time in your device settings; reminders then stop being able to reach you.

Alarms and reminders

ReMemo schedules exact alarms so a reminder arrives at the minute your timer reaches zero. Without this, Android is free to postpone reminders by many minutes to save battery, which would contradict the countdown shown in the App. This permission is used only to wake ReMemo at the scheduled time.

Screen Time mode

Optional, and used only if you switch a reminder to Screen Time mode. In this mode ReMemo counts time only while your device is awake and unlocked, so a timer pauses when you put the phone down and resets if you stay away for two minutes.

ReMemo determines this from your device's own screen and lock state, which requires no permission. It does not read which apps you open, app names, URLs, on-screen content, or any usage history, and nothing about your activity is transmitted anywhere.

Display over other apps

Optional. It allows a due break to open on screen while you are using another app. Without it, reminders still arrive as notifications and nothing is lost.

Persistent notification and lock screen

While Screen Time mode is on, Android requires ReMemo to show an ongoing notification for as long as it is counting. You cannot dismiss it while the mode is active; turning Screen Time mode off removes it.

Reminders can also appear over your lock screen and wake the display, so a break is not missed while your phone is idle. Only the reminder itself is shown. Reaching the rest of the App from a break requires unlocking your device as normal.

ReMemo also uses vibration for reminders.

7. Third-Party Services

ReMemo contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, tracking or data-collection services, and sends no data anywhere. Two points of full disclosure:

8. Sharing of Information

ReMemo does not sell, rent or share your personal information. Because your data stays on your device and the developer has no access to it, there is nothing to disclose to anyone — including where a legal request is made, as no copy exists to produce.

9. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's data, or uninstall ReMemo. There is no cloud backup or remote storage, and ReMemo is configured to be excluded from Android system backup and from device-to-device transfer, so your data does not follow you to a new phone.

Emails you send the developer are kept for up to 12 months so support requests can be followed up, then deleted unless the law requires otherwise.

10. Security

Because everything is stored locally and nothing is transmitted, your data is protected by your device's own security — your screen lock, biometrics and device encryption. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Note that anyone with access to your unlocked device can open ReMemo and see your settings and progress.

11. Children's Privacy

ReMemo is not directed at children under 13, or the higher minimum age required by your local law. No personal information is knowingly collected from children. As ReMemo collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing held about a child to delete, but you may contact the developer with any concern.

12. Your Rights (GDPR — EU and UK)

ReMemo is operated from Portugal (EU), so the GDPR applies to users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. The lawful basis for the limited processing that happens on your device is your consent, given when you grant a permission and withdrawable at any time in your device settings.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. In practice these are immediate and in your hands, because the developer holds no copy of your data: clearing the App's data or uninstalling it exercises erasure in full. For anything concerning email you have sent the developer, contact the address in Section 16 and you will receive a reply within 30 days.

13. Your Rights (CCPA — California)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to opt out of its sale, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

ReMemo collects no personal information and sells none, so there is nothing to disclose or delete on the developer's side. Requests concerning email correspondence may be sent to the address in Section 16 and will be answered within 45 days.

14. International Data Transfers

Your app data stays on your device and is not transferred anywhere. If you email the developer, your message is received in Portugal (European Union). By emailing, you consent to that.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App or to legal requirements. The current version is always available inside the App. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of it.

17. How to Review or Delete Your Data

Because everything is stored on your device, you have full control:
